can't stop blogging
the other night, i was really struggling to process my emotions so i got on my computer and just started writing. i couldn't stop, it just felt so good. feelings i'd been holding onto for a year just flooded out of me. i wrote in a way that i would be comfortable sharing with others on the internet, it was originally going to be a reddit post but soon became four pages. from there i decided, i want to start a personal blog. not catered to a specific niche, just a blog for me to let my thoughts out of my head.
i started using wordpress through a host, without doing much research. i quickly learned about the really cool alternative, indie platforms like bear blog and felt like a loser for using wordpress. to be honest, i was really scared of sites like this or neocities (which will be my next project). i hadn't done any sort of coding since my high school computer science class. it never really clicked with me, i was often frustrated by my assignments. i was wanting to keep using wordpress, wanting to avoid coding at all costs. but then, i decided that all of the benefits of the small web are worth it. while i'm only just beginning again, i am having so much fun relearning how to code. i'm so excited to see where my journaling/blogging/website building goes.
